ROLE: As part of a 12 month programme you could be working within the core Merchandising function focussing on improving the layouts and visual appearance of specified product ranges in stores, working alongside suppliers and commercial teams to effectively launch new products. You can expect to take ownership of a project, and manage stakeholders from both inside and outside of the business. So you’ll need to make sure the work passes all of the required Tesco approval processes on time and to budget. You’ll be exposed to the latest systems in a world class retailer, and will be expected to find solutions for a variety of challenges within the business and its processes. Alternatively, you could refine your analytical skills, deciding how to invest our money wisely, to generate revenue and ensure our customers have a great shopping experience. It’s a programme that offers a variety of experience working with a wide range of stakeholders, all focusing on improving our customers’ shopping experience. ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: a) At least a 2:1 degree in Retail Management or Business Management. b) A passion and drive for working in a Property and Retail environment. c) The ability to work well as a team with a range of professionals. d) The character to enjoy a fast-paced life.
