Reporting to the Office Manager, the Payments Office Supervisor is responsible for all operational aspects of the payments office, ensuring that they process all sales, payments and pay outs for vendors and buyers while ensuring that customer service levels are met. You will assist in the achievement of customer and internal KPI targets through the supervision of a team of cashiers and assistants; ensuring that excellent levels of customer service are not only met but surpassed. You are responsible for the closing and balancing of all sales and for the balancing of the daily banking, monitoring and balancing all cash deposits taken from rostrums. You must prepare bulk cash for collection by a carrier company; monitoring and chasing all auction debtors and reporting updates to the management team. Processing all vendor payments in line with customer SLA’s, you must monitor and manage all finance clearance issues and work with the Auction Accountant, reporting all accounting information as required within set deadlines. Candidates for this role must be good communicators who are able to work well under pressure while using your own initiative. You should have excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with large amounts of money, maintaining accuracy while delivering to tight deadlines.
