Urgent requirement for a Research Engineer - Flow Control to join their aeromechanics team. This position offers the opportunity to be involved in assessing the benefit of flow control at air-vehicle level, drag reduction using active flow control.
The position of Research Engineer - Flow Control requires you to interface with academic and research organisations within flow physics and flow control and understand fully the engineering requirements and constraints of the project. You will be required to manage and deliver demonstrations of solutions using simulation or testing on relevant problems to prove out theories.
The Research Engineer - Flow Control will need to have previous experience and proven expertise in flow control and have the ability to apply CFD to aerodynamic problems. You will need to be able to interpret results and use them to develop engineering solutions.
The successful candidate for the position of Research Engineer - Flow Control will be educated to degree level or equivalent in mathematics/physics or similar with supporting industry experience in the assessment of flow control technology. Candidates with a PhD or similar in Aerodynamics would be welcomed.
This position is commutable from Bath, Bristol, Portishead, Filton, Weston-Super-Mare, Clevedon.
