You will be working closely with the Commercial Accountant and heads of Product and Marketing teams to analyse the profitability of initiatives designed to continue the growth and success of our business. Your key responsibilities will include understanding the financial consequences of sales and marketing strategies and to influence the decision making process to drive our business forward. In addition to liaising with budget holders, you will analyse and manipulate financial data to enable you to present your findings to relevant business managers. You will have one direct report.

You must be a newly qualified accountant or qualified by experience, have commercial acumen and experience in management accounting, ideally educated to degree level, with the ability to demonstrate the following:

• Advanced user of Excel in relation to modelling techniques
• Conversant in manipulating data using business reporting tools (experience of Business Objects / Business Warehouse preferred)
• Experience in dealing with high volumes of data
• Capability to operate in a highly complex analytical environment and report the key messages/findings to the business
• Ability to work under pressure of deadlines and changing priorities
• Understanding of the drivers of a retail or manufacturing business
• Management of small team (one direct report)
