ROLE: A World leader in Web Security is looking to strengthen its team with an experienced Data Centre Engineer. Responsible for working in the data centre engineering team assisting with global deployments involving best of breed technology, and repair and maintenance of existing infrastructure to meet Service Level Agreements. RESPONSIBILITIES: a) A minimum of 2 years data centre experience is desirable for this position b) Responsible for maintaining a 99% uptime SLA for globally deployed hardware c) Deploy new infrastructure as required to meet business requirements. d) Ensuring high levels of technical quality and consistency for installation, maintenance and repair, including audit and documentation control. e) Providing effective support (proactive and reactive) to the existing hardware and associated infrastructure in Data centres. SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: a) Good knowledge of data centres and associated best practices. b) Good knowledge of server and network technologies from a hardware perspective. (Dell/HP, SAN). c) Basic knowledge and experience with Cisco IOS and devices. d) Working knowledge of standard telecommunication wiring practices and associated hardware. (CAT5, CAT6, Fibre). e) Ability to logically fault find issues and drive to resolution. f) Good knowledge of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Visio). g) A desire to learn and progress your career.
