My client has a reputation for attracting and retaining the best talent in the market. After weathering the financial crisis my client is now expanding in anticipation of a strong 2010 and is recruiting a Systems Accountant to work in their central IT division. Using Peoplesoft v8.8 you will be supporting the Global general ledger and will be handling queries from over a 1000 finance professionals from around the world. With over 4500 legal entities on the general ledger you will be required to work with the finance team to ensure that the ledger is reconciled correctly and on time for month end. If the finance team can't run a report due to data issues then it will be up to you to solve the issues. This role will predominantly be focused on operation duties, however, there will be project work when the bank acquires new organisations and they have to be added onto the GL or if a new interface needs to be amalgamated onto the system. The successful will have ideally come from an accounting background so that they can partner with the business from the get go. The ideal candidate would have 2 years work experience and have a degree in finance/accounting and be systems savvy. Peoplesoft is not a prerequisite but candidates with that specific system experience will be looked first.
