| A leading International Engineering company are looking for a Bid Manager to manage the bid process from cradle to grave. This position is ideally suited to an experienced Bid Manager, with Offshore industry experience ideally in Cables/Renewable sector i.e. Offshore Wind Farms etc.
The main duties of this challenging post are to:
* Plan, co-ordinate and programme manage the entire bid process. * Produce detailed, cohesive, well structured responses to the questions posed in pre tender qualification questionnaires and tender documentation * Facilitate the development and completion of proposals by gathering technical, commercial, financial information from a wide range of sources and from all corners of the business, in a structured manner * Engagement with customers and prospects pre and post tender where required * Quality, timeliness and accuracy of written tenders * Review and maintain the tender and create templates wherever possible * Co-ordinate and produce relevant internal reporting information and statistics âx0080;¢ Incorporating win-themes, research and data mining into proposals in areas such as competitive analysis, end-client business strategy, market intelligence âx0080;¢ Track the Key Performance Indicators and success factors within the bid âx0080;¢ Undertake continual research to update the existing library of responses into a knowledge base for future submissions. âx0080;¢ Presenting progress and plans at management review meetings and client workshops âx0080;¢ Managing bid administration issues âx0080;¢ Liaison with other senior roles within the overall sale Knowledge, skills and experience:
âx0080;¢ Track record of bid management/major tender preparation within the offshore industry sector (cables; structures; wind farms; platforms; etc.) is an advantage
âx0080;¢ Takes immediate ownership of the tender process. âx0080;¢ Able to commercially review and analyse complex contract and tender documentation.s âx0080;¢ Able to work under extremes of pressure whilst maintaining a professional approach. âx0080;¢ Team player, demonstrate a positive attitude to lead and motivate others âx0080;¢ 'Can do' attitude and solution provider âx0080;¢ Applicants must be highly computer literate and experienced with standard MS Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, MS Project), including problem solving in these applications in a bid environment and developing templates for bid authors. Experience of desktop publishing and managing external print organisations is an advantage âx0080;¢ Excellent written and verbal English skills and experience of writing proposals The salary for the role is 30k-50k (depending on level of experience) + pension, 25 days holiday
