Main Job Purpose:

xFFFD; To inspect and maintain the HV and LV electrical plant and distribution network at 11kV, and also up to and including 33kV.

Principle Accountabilities:

xFFFD; Responsibility for all aspects of Safety, Health and Environment relevant to this role

xFFFD; Deliver specified inspection and maintenance programme of work to a high standard of safety and quality

Nature & Scope

The person carrying out this role is likely to be part of a two man team receiving specific work in an area from a Maintenance Engineer. They will be trained and authorised to work on the network assets under the Distribution Safety Rules and report achievement and condition. They will have a thorough knowledge of the plant and equipment and be able to maintain all types of plant and work to the companyxFFFD;s inspection maintenance and oil handling policies. They will be trained and authorised to switch on the HV/EHV system.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience The successful candidates should have the following:

xFFFD; ONC in electrical power or City & Guilds Part 232 or equivalent.

xFFFD; An electrical apprenticeship in a power distribution (or similar) company.

xFFFD; Be able to demonstrate experience of working on regional electricity networks and therefore have a comprehensive knowledge of the electrical distribution network.
