The company is a provider of sensor solutions for defence systems and homeland security applications. Security clearance will be required for this opportunity.

This is an exciting role for a candidate looking to build on their existing communications experience, reporting to the Head of Communications and Image, managing a team within a busy environment, for a leading international company.

The key accountabilities required to achieve this role are:

- Act as first point of contact for queries on all marketing and communications

- In all activities and tasks, ensure the correct trans-national corporate strategic messages and underpinning company capabilities are effectively communicated and represented

- Develop, manage and deliver the HR communications plan in conjunction with HR business leads: marketing/ strategies/ advertising (inc. key messages, printed material, editorials)

- Develop, integrate and update the editorial portfolio according to the Corporate and Lines of Business strategies, while maintaining a print material schedule, managing the stock, tracking the MoD clearance process (applying for clearances in the UK) and ensuring availability and distribution within the Company and at shows/ events

- Develop and manage the corporate website to achieve the best web profile and special web projects (US, Saudi, etc.); liaising with UK, Italy and US

Required Skills and Knowledge required:

- Exceptional writing skills demonstrating sound grammatical knowledge is essential

- focus on writing, planning and executing comms plans

- 360 degrees working knowledge of communications toolkit evident from a strong Comms background

- Demonstrate sound project management and organisational skills from working in a high-tempo environment, where prioritisation is key to delivery

- With an International mindset, able to appreciate and work within a culturally diverse setting

Required mobility:

The highest level of contact will be in the UK and therefore the role will be UK focused. General mobility across the sites is required to support the role with additional requirements to

visit sites in Europe.

The Marketing Communications Manager will ideally be based in Basildon, Essex, so applicants should live within commuting distance or be prepared to relocate to the area.

The Salary offered for the position of Marketing Communications Manager will be 30-35K + benefits.
