Position: Java Software Developer

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:
a) Minimum of 5 years experience as a Software Engineer.
b) Experience of working in an agile environment.
c) Confidence working both independently and as part of a small team.
d) Ability to evaluate and integrate 3rd-Party technologies into an existing codebase.
e) Experience using Continuous Integration environment (Lunt, CruiseControl, etc).
f) Java code profiling and optimization.
g) Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
h) Unit, Integration and Functional acceptance testing.
i) The ability to establish and maintain confidence with ownership of issues.
j) Source code control experience (Subversion/CVS).

ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL SKILLS:
a) Strong server side Java development inc. multi-threading, concurrency etc.
b) Good understanding of WAN, LAN, TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, HTTPS, DNS, SNMP; experience with traffic captures.
c) Understanding of HTTP proxy servers is highly desirable; knowledge of WPAD, ICAP, WCCP is a big plus.
d) Clear understanding of sockets programming and protocol development.
e) Experience in real-time traffic processing (firewalls, port forwarding, etc.) Web Services (XML, SOAP).
f) SpringFramework or other IoC containers.
g) Application Server or Servlet container experience (Tomcat, Jetty, etc).
h) Hibernate or other ORM.
