Our lovely client, based in the Heart of the West End, is looking for a Junior Accounts Administrator to join their Pensions Accounts team. As the role is job share, assigned days are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. As part of a fixed term maternity cover contract, the successful candidate will be an engaging and enthusiastic individual who is a keen team player. Previous office-based experience is essential in this role, and a competent working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook is required. Any additional knowledge or experience pertaining to an accountancy programme would be beneficial, although not essential. Naturally, given the nature of the role numerical aptitude is necessary. Salary will range between Â10,200 to Â12,000 p/a dependent on experience.Key Responsibilities will include Daily raising of cheques and electronic payments for pensions schemes and progressing their signature and return to administrators within set deadlines. Using SAGE accounting system to process necessary actions Liaising with administrators and clients' companies' accounts departments for accounting information. Preparing monthly bank reconciliations. Preparing Income & Expenditure Reports at requested intervals. Ensure accurate and prompt filing of all documentation. Due to the changing nature of the business, the job holder may from time to time be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within their capabilities. Knowledge & experience Previous office based experience required, preferably in a finance related role including book keeping, cash book and bank reconciliation, although not essential as training will be provided. Experienced in the handling of payment requisitions would be preferred. Working knowledge of an accountancy package desirable. Previous Sage experience would be an advantage.
