Our client is a specialist procurement and trade finance consultancy company, supporting clients across the public and private sectors within Africa. An opportunity has now arisen for a Trade Finance Manager to join their team.

For this role our client is seeking someone with trade finance/project finance experience to help them achieve their goal of becoming a major arranger of trade and project finance within the African market.

As the Trade Finance Manager you will:
- Review relationships with Trade Finance banks, and develop effective systems
- Introduce projects to banks and other Trade Finance organisations
- Deal with local agents and representatives and assist them to identify the right projects
- Arrange credit and political risk insurance on behalf of clients with export credit agencies
- Arrange L/Cs, structuring project models for banks
- Work with the Procurement Manager to deal with suppliers in order to review documentation in relation to goods being financed

Some travel to meet local agents, clients, partners and manufacturers in the UK, will be required.

To be considered for this position you must have:
- Trade finance or project finance experience from within a large merchant bank
- Experience of structuring deals in emerging markets such as Africa
