Our client is the UK market leader in contract electronics manufacturing, utilising the very latest technology and equipment from their manufacturing centre in Hook, Hampshire. An opportunity has now arisen for a Product Assurance Technician/First Article Inspector to join their team.

For this role, our client is looking to recruit a candidate with experience of FAI in a similar role.

Working within the Quality department, as the Product Assurance Technician/First Article Inspector you will conduct internal product conformity assessments, specifically First Article Inspection FAI's(based on IAW AS9102), vertical assessments and key process audits.

Specific objectives will require the Product Assurance Technician/First Article Inspector to:

- Ensure all FAI's are compliant with customer and AS9102 requirements
- Ensure FAI's are completed on schedule
- Produce FAI packs for customers and weekly FAI status reports
- Attend daily production stand ups to review FAI status
- Liaise with Account Managers on FAI status

To prove your ability to succeed within the role of Product Assurance Technician/First Article Inspector, applicants should demonstrate previous FAI experience from within a similar role, from which you will have gained:

- Knowledge in producing First Article Inspection reports (FAIR) to AS9102 standard
- Experience of conducting Product Compliance Assessments using vertical audit process
- Experience of conducting Key Manufacturing Process assessments
- Experience of hosting customer audits/assessments

The Product Assurance Technician/First Article Inspector will also require a good education, with knowledge of quality tools
