| A new position within an established company. Your task will be to set up electronic qualification standards for defence projects. You MUST have Defence Standards experience. Working with design engineers at the early stage of the lifecycle. Applicants MUST have worked on Electronic Qualification within a defence environment. The client has engineers who look after the daily hands on tasks of environmental testing, this position will require change management experience and work with design engineers at the early stage of the product design to ensure test and qualification matters are taken into consideration. this is a new position within the company, so the successful candidate will be able to shape the companies strategy. To manage a team responsible for; - product design verification testing - design and provision of production test engineer facilities - operation and maintenance of our UKAS accredited environmental test engineer facilities Key responsibilities are; - to deliver engineering outputs within agreed budgets and timescales - to ensure the engineering is conducted professionally in accordance with company and project specific procedures - to coordinate the strategy for product design verification and production test equipment design, using best practice and against recognised standards Person spec; - qualified to degree level in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience. - previous experience of product verification in engineering - working knowledge of military standards Ideal candidate would be strong on EMC, Environmental and knowledge of military specs. Being a Manager of only 6-8 people, the candidate would require some in depth technical knowledge or expertise on one or more of the subjects mentioned above.
