Responsibilities:

1. To work Pro-actively as a member of Children's Social Care and Families making assessments of clients needs and negotiating and implementing effective care plans.
2. To work in partnership with children, young people and their carers.
3. To ensure the needs of the child or young person are paramount.
4. To manage a caseload, organising and coordinating appropriate care plans in conjunction with the carers, multi-disciplinary teams and statutory, voluntary and private agencies.
5. To carry out statutory obligations in accordance with departmental policy and practice.
6. To keep up-to-date and act in accordance with current legislation and departmental practice and initiatives.
7. To keep up-to-date records and to ensure the administrative requirements of the Directorate of Community Services are met
8. To receive regular supervision in line with departmental policy.
9. Experienced Social Workers are expected to contribute to the development of other workers.
10. Following accreditation or the required post-qualifications experience to be prepared to offer supervision to students on professional placement.
11.To attend relevant training workshops, courses etc.

Pay rate is between 19 - 24 per hour

GSCC Registration is essential.
