Are looking to recruit a Stress Engineer on a 9 month contract. Primary Purpose Reporting to the Principal Stress Engineer, you will be responsible for analysing the design of new temperature, speed and torque products for aerospace and industrial applications using current and new technologies. Duties will include: Participating as a key member of a Multi-Discipline Team (MDT) on projects - developing a working understanding of customer's technical specifications and requirements, problems, constraints and objectives for product design development. Performing risk assessment exercises based on experience, database information and first pass analysis. A pro-active approach throughout the design cycle, recommending design and material changes where necessary. Analysing products and test fixtures subjected to extreme environmental conditions, using SDRC's IDEAS, NX software and ANSYS Finite element codes and via hand calculations and other on-site software (TK Solver etc).
