| A Qualified Social Worker is required to join a Child Protection (Family Support) team in West London. Working within the Child Protection (Family Support) team, this Qualified Social Worker will have the following responsibilities: - To be responsible for the day to day interpretation and implementation of statutory and departmental policy in the provision of casework and, if appropriate, group work or other social work services to individuals, families and other groups. - To be responsible for the negotiation and allocation of appropriate service provision to clients and their families; through the determination of service provision contracts with providers, ensuring that the complex needs of users are met, providing value for money. - To ensure the implementation and co-ordination of complex assessments, the purchase of agreed packages of care and the monitoring of service contracts, in partnership with the users / carers and advocates. - To work closely with other Departments, and statutory and independent agencies to meet the complex needs of users and their carers within the community. - To provide an effective social work service at individual client level by ensuring the use of appropriate resources from the Council, and statutory and independent agencies. - To attend child protection conferences, reviews and Court as the Council representative as appropriate. Write complex reports and undertake all administrative duties related to the social work function. The successful Qualified Social Worker will be GSCC registered, have a current CRB and 2 years post qualification experience.
