| A Qualified Social Worker is required to join a Mental Health (Adults) team in West London. Working within the Mental Health (Adults) team, this Qualified Social Worker will have the following responsibilities: - To carry out high quality, service user-centred assessments taking into account, risk, health, social and cultural needs. - To carry out risk assessments, following the local policy. - To act as an ASW, carrying out the range of roles and responsibilities defined in the Mental Health Act, or to prepare for and undergo ASW training through the agreed route (PQ1). - To carry our Carers' Assessments, and draw up Carers' Care Plans where appropriate. - To develop with service user's creative CPA care plans based on their assessed needs, and to ensure maximum use of non-mental health service options and culturally appropriate services. - To investigate the quality and cost of service providers using negotiation skills to ensure that the best value is achieved for council money. - To be responsible for monitoring the quality and appropriateness of the CPA care plan you create. - To act as the CPA Care Co-ordinator, fulfilling all the responsibilities of that role. - To act as a social supervisor fulfilling the responsibilities under section 41 of the Mental Health Act. - To be largely self-servicing in relation to your personal administrative needs, using a personal computer and networked software.
