| This interim role is to provide cover during a major site rationalisation project Reporting to the Site Manager, the jobholder will manage the production areas in conjunction with the shift managers. You will be required to manage the Production areas, delivering safety, cost, quality, service and people performance to Company standards.

Safety:
Promote a proactive safety culture to continuously improve health and safety performance and awareness within production. Ensure that all vehicles, plant and personnel operate in a safe manner and comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy, standards and procedures. Identify and implement the most effective use of labour within the budget, including management structure, shift patterns, staffing levels and the use of pre-paid and flexible hours. Develop the management team, using desk reviews, performance reviews, coaching and training needs analysis. Ensure operational discipline consistent with company standards. Ensure effective communication within production using all appropriate techniques, including support of shift briefings, 1-2-1's and other formal and informal site communications and meetings. Develop a positive climate where all employees are able and encouraged to contribute. Operations:
Ensure Business Compliance to company standards at all times. Formulate detailed production programmes to achieve weekly plans Ensure the organisation of plant and manpower to achieve production targets. Liaise with Engineering team to ensure effective asset care and achievement of planned maintenance targets. Continuous Improvement
Drive Continuous Improvement process to achieve best possible cost management, productivity, quality and hygiene Monitor Operational Equipment Effectiveness data. Agree actions for improvement and ensure these are carried out by the appropriate parties. Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are developed and observed. As a minimum, maintain company standards at all times. Quality and Audits:
Ensure all production quality procedures and work instructions meet customer, external and internal audit requirements. Ensure a high standard of food safety and hygiene is maintained. Ensure that the business compliance system is maintained. Stock Control and Waste Management: Liaise with the Warehouse Manager to identify areas for improvement with |
