Cost Clerk / Commercial assistant - Construction

Description : Cost Clerk / Commercial Assistant - East Midlands - Construction - upto 18k


My client is a medium size contractor who is part of a very successful international organisation. They operate throughout the UK on a variety of sectors such as; civil, road construction, airfields, surfacing etc.


They are currently looking to recruit a cost clerk to join their team. You must have experience in the following duties;

* Checking materials against site purchase order number

* Entering costs onto spreadsheets

* Collating costs

* Plant costs and materials

* Day to day running of budgets

* Liaise with site staff

* Checking invoices

* Producing bills of quantities

* Pricing of goods

* Been responsible for wages


The ideal candidate will have had a minimum of two years experience in a similar role. This position could effectively lead to a position for a Quantity Surveyor, so if you have studied a relevant degree or gained previous experience within the construction industry in a similar role this will be looked fondly upon. Excel experience is essential, if you have worked in a cost clerk role previously this will be ideal.
