Position: Project Accountant (8 month maternity cover)
Location: Marlow, Buckinghamshire
Salary: 25k pa (pro-rata)

ROLE:
As the Project Accountant you will Provide Project Accounting support for the business as required, provide Project and Management accounting reporting for the business and act as fully functioning Project Accountant within the PA team for the period of maternity cover.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Provide Accounting advice/support to Project Managers.
b) Attend project meetings and give input where required.
c) Raise all relevant billing/documentation for projects.
d) Ensure accurate revenue recognition on all projects.
e) Advise on: Maximising GP, billing issues, VAT issues (simple), timing (Cash collection vs payments) and currency rates/purchasing for supplier payments.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
a) 2 years experience in a dynamic finance function with solid accounting skills.
b) Intermediate user of EXCEL
c) Self motivated.
d) Strong personality.
e) Ability to influence others and portray Finance Department in a professional and positive light.

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
a)Part Qualified Accountant.
b) Experience of using Maconomy highly advantageous or use of other project management software.
c) Experience of working within a professional event management / project management company highly advantageous.
