| A unique opportunity has arisen for a Youth Offending Service Operational Manager in the West London area. Youth Offending Service Management experience is essential. Responsibilities: 1. Manage staff towards the achievement of identified Youth Offending Service objectives, in accordance with departmental requirements, relevant partnership protocols and local and national standards. 2. Contribute to Youth Offending Service management arrangements, the development of the Service and ensure effective collaborative working arrangements within the Youth Offending Service and with partners. 3. Contribute to the formulation, implementation and monitoring of the Youth Justice Plan and related strategies, including regular review and performance management of the work of the Youth Offending Service in accordance with local and national standards and key performance measures. 4. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of legislation and policy pertaining to young offenders to support staff develop effective practice and deliver Youth Offending Service key outcomes. 5. Contribute to the allocation and quality assurance of work, including risk management and safeguarding, preparation and deployment of budgets and exercise management responsibility in accordance with Council procedure and financial regulations for identified budgets 6. Contribute to arrangements for the participation and satisfaction of users and stakeholders of the Youth Offending Service and ensure that complaints are dealt with in accordance with the department's complaints procedure. 7. To contribute to the delivery of improved outcomes for young people, the reduction in the level of youth crime in the Borough and the protection of the public. Pay rate is between 22 and 28 per hour. Dip SW or equivalent professional qualification (eg health, education, youth and community work). Or Youth Justice related qualifications e.g PCEP, Foundation degree in Youth Justice is essential.
