| My client has an immediate opening for a Geoenvironmental Engineer Based from a spacious modern office, you will have the opportunity to join a newly established geoenvironmental team, working closely with one other team member. Current projects are predominantly Schools/BSF work working within the Multi-disciplinary delivery of services both as TA and Designer (either bidding or appointed to the LEP). Other projects include general Ground Hazard work - geotechnical and contaminated land assessment and mitigation design & implementation. The job will involve working with and being responsible to the Associate Director in the provision of expanding geoenvironmental services. The role shall be to carry out Phase 1 Geoenvironmental assessments on various sites around the UK. In addition the successful candidate will be specifying, supervising and reporting factual and interpretive Phase 2 intrusive ground investigation works. There will be the need to visit and work on various sites around the UK, including ongoing monitoring of groundwater and ground gas installations. You will be helping to prepare Conceptual Site Models and developing interpretive reports with geotechnical and environmental design parameters. The job includes semi-quantitative Risk Assessment work. The successful job holder will need to produce accurate high-quality Phase 1 Desk Study information, maintaining control of project input and working within given budget constraints and also that of strong client relationships. To be successful in your application, you should have a Degree in Geology, Engineering or Earth Sciences and proven post graduate experience in geoenvironmental engineering. Experience in carrying out and reporting Phase 1 Desk Studies, on-site experience of Phase 2 Intrusive Ground Investigations and the production of Factual Phase 2 Reports. Creation of Preliminary Risk Assessments including Conceptual Site Models, experience in the latest CLEA risk assessment methods and a through academic training and experience the fundamental elements of environmental legislation and how it relates to contaminated land and waste management matters. You must be a confident communicator in written and oral media, with a strong computer literacy - familiar. Motivated and committed to their personal development, also to the development and success of the Team; you should be able to work methodically with good time management skills focused on the project delivery. Any experience/training in Eurocode 7 would be advantageous as would developing skills in Interpretive Reporting, development of CSMs and the affects, if any on Development Options.
