Electronics Technical Support / Service Engineer

Description : Electronics Technical Support / Service Engineer An experienced (3yrs+) Service Engineer with a background in Electronics is required by a company that provides data logging equipment and the associated interfacing PC Software. You must have a background in electronics, be qualified to HNC level min, have excellent customer interfacing skills be and experienced in in installing, servicing and repairing electronic equipment, and also have experience of installing various types of software onto PCs. You will be working with a team of 3 other engineers, covering the UK. Travel throughout the UK will be required as part of the role. When not out on the road you will be providing technical support from the office. Key Tasks - Analyze customer product support issues. - Develop and acquire in-depth knowledge of all relevant company products and applications in order to provide answers and training to customers, engineering and sales. - Collaborate with other support team members to share knowledge of issues and corresponding resolutions or workarounds. - Work with product development and other internal departments to resolve issues, develop solutions to minimize cycle time for problem resolution. - Develop training and support materials. - Provide feed back information to product development teams. - Maintain and update relevant company databases (support knowledge, crm, product etc.). - Provide general IT support to all company employees. Knowledge Recognised IT, Electronics qualification (minimum of HNC), or relevant experience Skills - Computer literate. - Team Player. - Good knowledge of operating systems. - Strong, structured analytical skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Excellent time/project management skills. Experience Min of three years relevant experience
