Solidworks Mechanical Design Engineer

Description : Solidworks Mechanical Design Engineer. A Solidworks Mechanical Design Engineer with at least 10 years industry experience is required by a leading manufacturer of equipment for use in the healthcare, research, education and pharmaceutical sectors. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Mechanical Design Engineer to join a busy Technical Department. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of developing new ideas and processes which will impact positively on manufacturing efficiency. The ability to work both on your own and as part of a team are equally important. Work will be varied and will encompass the design of components, complete new products and the re-engineering of existing products. Typically this will include pressure vessels, pipework assemblies, pneumatic circuits, sheet metal assemblies and machined components. The ability to create specifications and bills of material are essential. With at least 10-years experience, the ideal candidate must possess and be able to demonstrate a strong mechanical design background and track record in some or all of the above areas. It is expected that the candidate will be qualified to HND or degree level. It would also be advantageous if the candidate had some knowledge of air-conditioning or refrigeration, however this is not a pre-requisite. A good working knowledge of Autocad-lite, SolidWorks and the general Microsoft Office package are essential.
