ER6429 - Senior Reservoir Engineer

Description : 

An excellent development opportunity exists for a result's orientated Senior Reservoir Engineer to provide high quality engineering support to the Northern Gas & Oil Team. In this role you will be exposed to a range of business processes and assist in the creation and implementation of integrated field development strategies. This role provides scope for significant professional and technological skills development through potential work on key strategic projects such as Infill and enhanced recovery initiatives, greenfield Greater Tindlipie development planning, Permian Oil asset planning and Enhanced Oil Recovery projects.
Key responsibilities in this role include:
Management of new and ongoing field projects to optimise production and ensure that all projects assist in the ongoing development of a strategic business plan.
The construction of reservoir models by integrating geological, petrophysical and engineering data
Identifying the appropriate development opportunities; with view to reducing unit costs, well construction and capital costs; to increase well deliverability;
Identification of well enhancement opportunities.
Investigate, review and implement new appropriate technology (inc. field surveillance strategies in association with POT) to improve technical analysis, risk assessment and commerciality of projects.
Generation of well location approvals, perforation recommendation approvals, hydrocarbon in place and reserve estimates in accordance with set guidelines and modelling principles.
Perform reservoir simulation studies and provide assistance and training to other engineers on reservoir simulation principles and applications.
Maintain the integrity of the reservoir development and engineering technical database information.
Aid and support the planning and quality control of the technical programs and budgets to accomplish established team objectives.
