This new role will be the first member of a growing team to deliver a new mobile phone service to a discrete user group. The successful candidate will have significant technical experience gained in an Mobile Virtual Network Operations or Core Network provider and will be well versed in resolving mobile phone/network related technical challenges. They will have a good understanding of Public Key Infrastructure, and Packet Switched Networks, experience in government communications systems would be useful. The successful candidate will have effectively managed a team of engineers and technical support specialists, and will have experience of or the personality to interact professionally and confidently with customers or their agents. The successful candidate will have experience and proven writing skills, they will be required to understand, develop and document the technical solution, its maintenance and service regime.

The successful candidate will be required to have UK Government Security clearance.

Specific responsibilities (initially as the sole member of the team âx0080;x0093; but as it grows managing the capability)

- Build and Maintain specialist server platforms to deliver a managed service across Mobile Cellular Networks.

- Manage the administration, and delivery of SIM cards to customer's agents

- Provide and Manage a service desk providing responsive support to a specialist user community

- Measure, assess and improve user experience of the service

- Technically competent with common server architectures

- Confident, patient and with good people skills (especially conflict resolution)

- Substantial experience in a technical/mobile communications environment

- Degree qualified with professional/industry accreditation

- Self motivated and driven to succeed

- Passionate about technology and innovation

- With SC clearance (or ability to get it)

- Driving Licence
