| An exciting opportunity has arisen for a growing company in the defence community has arisen for a Systems Engineer to take a lead in the delivery of current military land systems projects. This role requires Security Clearance. Lead Project/Systems Engineer Role
Role:
- Co-ordinate all vehicle engineering and technical activities with customer & subcontractors against an agreed specification - Generate and agree Requirements Specifications, Statements of Work, Test Specifications etc, in support of the project - Capture, manage and implement emerging customer requirements - Co-ordinate regular engineering meetings with the customer and subcontractors - Co-ordinate project design review meetings including System Design Reviews, Integration Readiness Review, Production Readiness Review, Critical Design Review - Provide engineering and technical support to Risk, Assumptions and Safety Management activities - Undertake reviews of 3rd party technical documentation and deliverables. - Produce project deliverables to budget and timescale. - Provide monthly progress reports and support to project progress meetings - Provide engineering and technical support to project reviews as appropriate - Provide engineering and technical support to all other project functions, including Quality, ILS, - Provide engineering and technical support to trials activities Experience Required: - Relevant experience in the Defence or Automotive sectors - Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline - Familiarity with Systems Engineering processes - Familiarity with MoD Acquisition Operating Framework (AOF) - Specific skills would be:
1.The ability to communicate with DE&S and sub-contractor organisations at all levels 2.The ability to build, lead and motivate small project teams 3.The ability to communicate technical issues clearly and coherently both internally and externally at all levels.
