| Marketing Manager (Online Retail / Grocery), circa 40k Client: Tesco Position: Marketing Manager (Republic Of Ireland/UK) Salary: circa 40-45k plus benefits Location: Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. Occasional travel to Dublin required. With over 450 employees in the UK and 200 in India our annual revenues now stand in excess of 2 billion Role: Tesco now has an exciting role focusing on the marketing and planning of the Republic of Ireland grocery website. This role is extremely cross-functional and requires the ability to work with people at all levels and across teams. It also involves coordinating people to deliver activity. It is important to understand all of Tesco's marketing channels - email, web, online, in-store, direct mail and advertising. Responsibilities: a) Plan and implement marketing strategy across Tesco.ie channels. b) Work with UK teams to understand how UK Marketing Plan should be translated and used to create an ROI specific Marketing Plan. c) Liaise with Customer Insight team to understand what marketing levers work best for the different ROI objectives (customer acquisition, rewarding loyal customers, retention etc). d) Web Content Management. e) Responsible for taking the UK Tradeplan and ensuring that any ROI required changes are applied. f) UK event plan to be correctly amended to reflect ROI local differences. g) Accountable for website accuracy. h) Range Management. i) Regular updates with UK Grocery Commercial Manager to ensure that where possible any UK site improvements e.g. range extensions, are reflected on the Irish website. Knowledge/Experience: a) Prior marketing knowledge is essential - the job spans the whole marketing mix and you will need to produce plans based on the strengths of each channel and how they can work together. b) This role requires a strong communicator (both verbally and written), particularly for writing and communicating briefs. c) Excellent presentation skills. d) Strong influencing and leadership skills. e) Strong analytical skills to fully evaluate each channel's performance in order to make strategic decisions. (Excel skills). f) Prior on line marketing experience would be beneficial. g) Knowledge of the Irish market would be beneficial.
