My client is one of Europe's largest technology suppliers, with an annual turnover in excess of €10 billion for the whole group across six business areas. Our Consulting and Engineering division operates in various UK and International locations, providing expertise to customers in the rail sector among others. We are currently looking for a Rail Consultant with an extensive and credible background in Fleet Management/Rolling Stock Management.
We are currently working with a number of the largest rail operators in the UK and Europe providing consultancy services on a number of Asset/Fleet Management and Rolling Stock projects. Our clients are keen to harmonise the operations and reduce cost without compromising on reliability and safety.
You will be assessing and advising clients on the capabilities of software applications and identify how they improve the maintenance operation, the implementation of the Corporate Asset Management Strategy, purchasing policies, fleet availability, fleet reliability, Safety and Cost Management. You will also facilitate the development of 'best practice' and advise the organisation on technology projects that would harmonise the current systems, drive business benefit and improve periodic reporting, Real Time Alerting, Maintenance regimes and frequency and Purchasing and Warranty management
Candidates will come from the rail industry from either the consultancy or a rail operator environment. You must have in-depth rolling stock/fleet management knowledge and be able to draw on relevant previous experience in order to have credibility with the client.
