| We require Qualified Social Workers to work for Wolverhampton Council, who have at least 3 years experience of working with children who are subject to Child Protection Plans, Children in Care and Court/Care Proceedings. Main duties include: -visit children and families as required, assess or re-assess needs and develop plans in partnership, and take any necessary action to safeguard a child's well-being -responsible for the organisation and planning of work within agreed priorities and timescales -meet statutory and other responsibilities in relation to Children and Families, and to fulfil these in accordance with the Portfolio's Procedures and Guidelines -convene and participate in Child Protection Conferences and organise and chair core group meetings as required -carry out statutory duties as authorised by the Corporate Director; to prepare and present evidence and reports to Court as required, or support colleagues in doing so.
