Location: Luton Responsibilities: To take lead for the bid process for the designated division.
To support campaign managers with identifying new opportunities and develop client relationships To work with commercial managers throughout the selling process to close of contract To develop and deliver presentations and marketing initiatives Key candidate requirements -
- Procurement / Commercial experience in the defence industry
- Hands on experience of RFQ and tendering - Negotiation skills with the analytical ability to review and award contract to sub contractors - Specific MOD contracts and process knowledge - Project and Risk Management Key knowledge of MOD contracting terms and conditions is vital to lead the commercial management of designated contracts and sub contracts.
This needs a professional familiar with contracts implementation and management and first class communication skills to liaise with a diverse grouping of internal stakeholder teams (sales , sub contract procurement) and client direct. Previous defence industry experience will be of great advantage for both the contractual procedures and develop product and service offering knowledge.
