The Company
The company is one of Australia's largest civil engineering organisation. They continue from strength to strength engaged in multi-million dollar projects both within Australia and also abroad. The company has a telecommunications projects division that has undergone a logarithmic growth in recent years in the provision of fixed and mobile networks and is set to expand further.
About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator to work as a key member in the dynamic business development team.
The Estimator will have experience in pricing through various items associated with the build and maintenance of telecommunications networks. These range from civil works through to installation and commissioning activities. The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and timely estimates for works that will form part of the submissions for large-scale tenders and proposals.
Role Accountabilities:
Provision of accurate pricing for bids, proposals and contracts
Negotiation of competitive schedules or rates with suppliers for materials and labour
Accurate pricing for inclusion to meet tender closing dates
Creating templates, pricing schedules and the development of a bids pricing library
Awareness through research into market trends of relevant goods and services costs
Tender transition documentation
About You:
You will have gained extensive experience held in a similar role maybe pricing for active projects and may have gained qualifications in civil construction
Excellent communication skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
Advanced Microsoft Office skills including MS Excel
