We are currently looking for a Personal Adviser to join our team in the Redbridge area working on a contract for the next 3 months. This is a great opportunity for you to draw on your qualifications and experience to provide impartial careers information advice and guidance to young people.

Duties will include:

- Providing a range of support to clients including CV, interview and job search skills.

- Act as a mentor by supporting and guiding clients who have particular difficulty accessing education, training and employment through transition including liaison with other agencies.

- Carry out diagnostic interviews with clients from a range of ethnic social backgrounds to identify needs.

- Placing clients in employment, training and educational opportunities.

- Providing clients with information and advice on vacancies, careers and labour market information and further/higher education and training opportunities.

- Taking vacancies and match these to clients. Maintain, update and collate vacancies to ensure an accurate vacancy service.

- Assisting, advise and act as advocate on behalf of clients regarding their benefit claims and liaise with Jobcentreplus about follow-up and queries.

- Maintain the library and other information sources including the display and marketing of opportunities using a range of IT databases, the Internet and Intranet to access and research information for clients and colleagues.

- Carry out reception duties as required.

The ideal candidate for the role will have experience working in a similar role as described. Holding an IAG qualifications is desirable but not essential.

- 26,200 pro rata
