My client, a supplier of high performance sealing products to a variety of industries (formula 1, down-hole, semi conductor capital equipment etc), have an opening for a Product Support Engineer (Europe).

Reporting to the Global Products Manager this role will provide technical support to the sales function of the business. The role will comprise new product design and technical specification of products. Periodic travel within Europe will be necessary, involving technical presentations and representation of products to customers. The successful candidate will be immersed into niche high profile industries delivering safety-critical, technical solutions on systems such as aero-engines, nuclear reactors, lasers and oil platforms.

Required skill sets:

* High degree of engineering analytical ability.

* Confident communicator able to understand technical requirements communicated by sales force and customers, to fully define design intent.

* Aptitude for working on multiple concurrent projects with aggressive time-scales.

âx0080;¢ Use of 3D Parametric CAD modelling âx0080;x0093; SolidWorks (Training available for specific package).

âx0080;¢ Use of finite element analysis (FEA) âx0080;x0093; Ansys (Training available for specific package).

âx0080;¢ Understanding of configuration management.

âx0080;¢ Appreciation of basic material physical properties.

âx0080;¢ Appreciation of organic chemistry.

âx0080;¢ French or German language skills would offer a strong advantage.

Required qualifications:

Chartered Engineer Status, or Class 2:1 MEng / BEng in mechanical engineering or related discipline. (Assistance can provide to achieve CEng Status).
