Our client is a world leader in comprehensive threat weapon systems and missile countermeasures solutions. They specialise in the design, manufacture and world wide distribution of a comprehensive range of RF (Radio Frequency) and IR (Infra Red) decoy cartridges for airborne, naval and land applications across the entire electromagnetic spectrum.
They currently have an opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who is well established within the automated manufacturing environment, to join their highly skilled and committed team in Salisbury. Within this exciting role, you will be responsible for a team of Mechanical Maintenance Engineers, working to maintain and continuously improve systems, plant and equipment.
Typical duties include analysing critical and non-critical spares, breakdowns and trends to identify engineering solutions for plant and equipment breakdowns. Developing and reviewing mechanical maintenance plans will form a major part of this role, where you will use a variety of techniques and tools to such as PPM, RCM, TPM, Vibration Analysis, Thermal Imagery, Acoustic monitoring, oil sample analysis and FMECA. You will also be required develop training plans for your team to ensure they maintain a sufficient skill-set.
To be considered for this rare opportunity, you must be educated to at least HND-level in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), and have a minimum of three years experience within an automated manufacturing environment. We require candidates to be able to demonstrate they have used current maintenance techniques on plant and equipment in this industry, including developing and reviewing mechanical maintenance plans.
