| Support Team Leader require to work with my client a global supplier of services to government and the public sector. The IT Team Leader will be responsible for the line management of the IT Technical Team and act as a liaison between My Clients Management and the Transformation Director. As such, the IT Technical Team Leader position requires a blend of excellent technical knowledge coupled with strong man management and organisational skills. The IT Team Leader is expected to manage the scheduling and workload of the engineers and to liaise with contract management, service desk and other departments to ensure calls are closed in a timely fashion, Incidents SLA's are not breached and SRD's & RFC's are completed to schedule. The IT Team Leader is also expected to manage the annual appraisal and target setting process as well as being involved in the recruitment process and attending customer meetings as appropriate. Main duties and responsibilities of the role include: * Line Management of all engineers within the Contract * Coordination of resources for Incident resolution and project work * Ensure Incidents at sites are resolved within SLA and that refresh and technical projects are completed within the scheduled time limits * Gain a deep understanding of all technologies within the contract and help advise the customer with their IT Strategy and improvements * Identifying Business Opportunities to improve the contract value for My Clients. * Implement Service Improvement plans * Attendance at Team Leaders meetings any other relevant meetings/forums with customers or 3rd party Infrastructure suppliers as necessary. * It is a mandatory condition of this role that the holder is able to achieve & maintain security clearance at the level of DV. MCSE and CCNA essential and ITILv3 Foundation or higher, Prince2 Practitioner, TOGAF desirable. * Experience of working within an environment dealing with data of a sensitive nature. * In depth experience of Microsoft products. * Engineering enterprise architectures utilising the TOGAF approach recognising the need information security. * Wide experience of a variety of IT and communications technology including VOIP, VPN, Virtualisation, Firewall technology. * Team management, objective setting and regular appraisals. * Qualified to work within the UK. * Ability to reach & maintain a high level of UK Government security clearance. * The job holder must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills as the individual will be required to work with a number of key stakeholders and suppliers. * Excellent system design documentation skills.
