Due to continued growth they URGENTLY need to recruit an Applied Aerodynamics Engineer The Role As an Applied Aerodynamics Engineer you will have a background in aerodynamic and aerolastic design of wind turbine blades to be part of our design team. Your duties & responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following: - * Design and analysis of aerodynamics and aeroelastics of blades and wind turbine. * Definition of aerodynamic data for loads analyses. * Provide aerodynamic input to wind turbine systems design. * Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct projects with many complex features. Provide technical guidance to other engineers. * Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for projects and activities to be carried out by others. * Assess the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering evaluation test, products, or equipment when necessary data are insufficient or confirmation by testing is advisable. * Take decisions independently on engineering problems and methods and represent the organization to customers and suppliers. * Maintains a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related wind turbine fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company product. * Use advanced techniques and the modification and extension of theories and practices of a specific field. * Applies diversified knowledge and experience of engineering principles and practices in specific technical areas The Candidate Educated to degree level or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering or related field. Candidate with an M.Sc in this field will be shown preference. * Ideally 5-8 years experience in specific discipline * Full proficiency in both English & German is essential * Excellent inter-personal and communication skills * Familiar with airfoil used for blades * Experience in aerodynamic analysis using empirical methods and estimation techniques. Wind tunnel and / or wind turbine test data analysis experience is desirable * Experience in CFD tools is highly desirable * Experience in manufacturing requirements and methods is desirable * High proficiency in programming languages, preferably FORTRAN or MATLAB IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN CONTACTED WITHIN 48HRS OF APPLYING FOR THIS POSITION YOUR APPLICATION WILL NOT HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL.
