Senior Test Engineer - High Power

Description : Senior Test Engineer - High Power Senior Test Engineer qualified to HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent and experience in testing of rectifiers or power related products up to 4MW is required to join the Test department, to carry out functional and system tests on MOD and commercial electronics products while maintaining good levels of quality control. Main duties/responsibilities will include: Developing test routines from technical specifications and drawings Testing electrical & electronic assemblies and equipment using standard safe operating procedures to MOD and commercial standards Devising suitable test fixtures, rigs and procedures in liaison with engineering departments Demonstrating equipment performance to customers and representatives Producing documentary evidence of test routines Complying with statutory / company rules and procedures Meeting output programmes, working flexibly, using overtime, unsocial working hours and shift-work as and when required Undertaking occasional off-site activities in the United Kingdom and abroad Capable of working with minimal supervision Meeting Company cost parameters by completing tests within the specified times Experience in interpreting test specifications would be an advantage, as would the ability to correctly interpret manufacturing information (assembly drawings and process instructions) Flexibility, motivation and commitment
