A Leading Barrister's Chambers based in central London is looking for a technical, hands on IT Manager to manage the whole of IT supporting 70 barristers and 25 staff. You will have extensive hands on experience of managing networks, including the support of remote users.

Although this is a managerial position and you will be responsible for all aspects of IT including managing a budget it is also very much a hands on technical role and you will have excellent general IT skills including maintenance and configuration of software and hardware, maintenance of the network and configuration of Cisco switches, routers and Firewalls.

Skills and Experience:-

* CCNA / CCNP or equivalent experience (Cisco Switches and Firewalls)

* MCSE or equivalent experience

* VMWare

* Exchange Server '07, Blackberry Enterprise Server

* SQL Server 2008

You will be working along side and supporting chambers staff from junior barristers to very senior legal professionals and excellent communication skills will be essential in this role. Whilst by no means essential, any experience of the legal profession would be beneficial and all candidates would be expected to learn the relevant bespoke applications for the industry.

There is currently a junior IT support engineer who it will be your responsibility to train and manage.

The remuneration for the IT Manager is 40,000 - 50,000 and there is a discretionary bonus of 19% that is paid bi annually. There will also be some out of hours support that will be compensated at a rate to be negotiated.
