A major consultancy has the need for an extremely technical Test Lead to join their team of intelligent and successful technical testing professionals. This role will be based in London and have responsibility for blue chip client sites and therefore a degree of travel on rare occasion will be expected. My client is an established and highly respected business solutions provider boasting a impressive array of highly recognised clients. As a Technical Test Lead you will embrace the ethos of new tools and tricks and still be very much involved in your teams awareness of emerging technologies.

As the Technical Test Lead you will have the experience and the passion to drive a Test Team forward in this competitive market with the Head of Testing. This will done via developing high-end client relationships, recommending technical solutions for enterprise systems, recommending testing tool suites whether they be OpenSource, Mercury/HP, Compuware or IBM and more important of all guiding the team to successful deliveries.

As the successful Technical Test Lead you will be wholly involved in day-to-day hands-on testing and technical operations. You will therefore have a broad experience of technology in general from Operating Systems (Windows, Unix, Linux, Solaris), Databases (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, Sybase), Testing Tools (Compuware OpenSource, IBM Rational, Mercury/HP) and Programming/Scripting languages such as C, VBScript, Java/J2EE, C#, Ruby and ASP to rapidly provide solutions for complex systems.

Desirables for the role include Financial Services experience, consultancy background and a specialisation in a particular automated testing tool.
