- Support all IT Hardware (LAN/WAN, Server, Desktop etc), Software and office based Systems within a very fast-paced and demanding environment - Evaluate the IT function and its resources - Main point of contact for individuals reporting or highlighting issues with systems or equipment - Ensure that trouble tickets are fulfilled and SLAs are met - Troubleshoots and resolves systems errors and failures - Ensures security procedures are followed and enforced - Ability to navigate through file systems and create simple scripts - Builds new systems to standard specifications - Holds an understanding of core internet technologies - DHCP, DNS, mail transport, TCP/IP and network file systems - Demonstrates clear understanding of networking - Trouble shoots network issues IT Technical Support Engineer - Other Tasks/Responsibilities: - Creates and administer clear, concise documentation to lower the possibility of a repeat problem - Procurement, Inventory and Asset Management of all IT equipment - Coordinates with global tech groups to implement global IT changes - Complete ownership of all IT related issues within the office and effectively communicate with customers on problem resolution - Ownership, drive and follow through of local and global IT projects - Participates in IT projects and overall office projects IT Technical Support Engineer âx0080;x0093; Skills/Experience Required: - Significant IT Support experience within a fast paced e-business based environment - Superior Customer Service skills in dealing with all levels in a lean team environment - Self-motivated and self-managed - High degree of accuracy and attention to detail - Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) - Experienced in Systems Administration; Server and Desktop, LAN and WAN, Telecom, Help-Desk/Technical Support, and Data Cabling - Confident and capable in the creation and management of wireless networks with the potential to join a virtual team supporting this technology - Flexibility and strong customer-service focus as well as a demonstrable technical aptitude and a willingness to pick up and develop new skills - Proven ability to operate in extreme high pressure situations and successfully handle multiple priorities and possess a high level of discipline and remain flexible - High graded BS or MS in Computer Science or a closely related discipline, with MCSE as a minimum requirement Please note: IT Technical Support Engineer position will involve some physical work e.g. working in confined spaces; lifting up to 30 kg; accessing elevated spaces.
