An opportunity has arisen at our client's Bristol plant for a Mechanical Engineer working a 3 shift system in a multi-disciplined role, as part of the engineering team and reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.

Mechanical Engineer - Candidate Requirements:

- Must have served a recognised apprenticeship
- Must have a minimum 4 years post apprenticeship experience, preferably in a fast moving production environment and be familiar with planned routine maintenance of all production and ancillary equipment
- Applicants should be educated to O.N.C standard or above
- A good working knowledge of current health, safety, hygiene and environmental requirements and an understanding of TPM, SMED and SPC techniques are essential
- Whilst predominately the role will centre on a mechanical bias, a basic understanding of electronics and workshop practices is also required

Mechanical Engineer - Key Skills:

The successful Mechanical Engineer applicant would be expected to work a reasonable amount of overtime and should be able to demonstrate the following key skills:

- Self motivated with a 'can do' attitude
- Knowledge of steam systems
- Experience in the corrugated industry would be advantageous
- Excellent fault finding ability
- Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems
- Fit, turn and weld
- Ability to work under pressure
