Medicare have a urgent vacancy we are trying to fill in North London. The main duties will be: *Attending child court cases. *Carrying out initial assessments. *Home visits. *Experience of child protection *Attending case conferences *Organising and chairing professional meetings. *Presenting case histories and speaking in front of a group of professionals and or as a witness in court proceedings. *Providing a service to children in need and their families in line with statutory requirements and departmental policies. *Undertaking assessments (section 47 and section 17) and preparing reports for presentation in child protection case conferences and the family court. *Work consistently within the parameters of the law, departmental policies, procedures and guidelines. *Attend conferences, reviews, core groups and planning meetings, as appropriate. *Make case planning decisions which are consistent with the responsibilities and expectations of Children Act 2004. *Assessing and monitoring residential children homes *Report writing *Working closely with the specialist Children's Service Staff and other agencies in ensuring the service reflects defined needs. *Ensuring that the service provided is informed by the views of the major stakeholders, especially children and their families. *Working with partner agencies to ensure that services are delivered in the most effective way. *Writing reports for court and other professionals *Working in partnership with CAMHS, Social Services, police, psychologist and GP's
