POSITION TITLE
Accounting/Tax Analyst
POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is responsible for assisting in the preparation of income tax returns, financial statements and other related responsibilities as discussed below
. The job is located at the company’s corporate headquarters in Spartanburg, SC and reports directly to the Director, Shareholder Office. Any travel would be minimal.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

-Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of multiple legal entities (including LLC’s, C-Corporations and S-Corporations)
-Manage the general ledgers and financial reporting processes for each of these legal entities
-Coordinate with external auditors in the completion of annual audits of the financial statements of various legal entities
-Prepare budgets and budget variance analyses for various legal entities
-Prepare income tax returns and other filings for legal entities (including LLC’s, C-Corporations and S-Corporations)
-Win the confidence of and maintain a good professional relationship with customers
-Prepare income forecasts and execute estimated income tax payments for legal entities
-Prepare financial analyses for planning meetings
QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

-Bachelors degree in Accounting; CPA strongly preferred
-2+ years experience with a Big Four or regional public accounting firm
-A very well-developed understanding of accounting, income tax and other tax matters
-A good understanding of the capital markets (including behavior, accounting for and taxation of a variety of financial instruments)
-A deep understanding of Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks
-An ability to grasp and utilize income tax preparation software
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
-A talent for multi-tasking, working under pressure and meeting deadlines
-Meticulous attention to details
-Strong analytical abilit
