Summary

Texas Children’s Pediatrics is known for providing outstanding pediatric health care at over 50 locations throughout Houston and surrounding communities.  We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our team and share in our mission—to create a community of healthy children.  Texas Children’s Pediatrics Westwood is a clinic staffed by pediatricians with faculty appointments in the Baylor College of Medicine Department of Pediatrics in the Section of Academic General Pediatrics.  The practice model is a team based, family centered approach with data driven quality improvement as a core tenet.  Health professional education will be expected in addition to participation in quality improvement initiatives. PURPOSE: The Physician works collaboratively with the healthcare team to render age appropriate care. The Physician provides primary care, diagnosis, management and well care follow up for ill infants, children and adolescents. The role of the Physician is in accordance with the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners.

REPORTS TO: Medical Director of TCP Westwood and Section Head of the Section of Academic General Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics, Baylor College of Medicine at Texas Children’s Hospital.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for supervising Baylor College of Medicine learners and providing on-site supervision of nurse practitioners.  Informally responsible for supervising care team during clinical care.   

PATIENT CARE PROVIDER RESPONSIBILITY: Direct

Minimum Qualifications

-M.D. or D.O.,
-Preferred: The applicant should have successfully completed a Pediatric residency program and at least three years of clinical experience in Pediatrics.
-Preferred: At least 2-3 years of clinical experience in Pediatrics.
