Job Description
ROLE PURPOSE:
Perform routine and repetitive duties to assist in set-ups, adjustments, and operations of thermoplastic extruding machinery and related equipment to form film or tubes to meet quality and production requirements.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
-Observe all prescribed or standard safety rules and regulations.
-Follow instructions to monitor scrap recovery control procedure.
-Provide assistance required or move and position nip rollers, rewind shafts, and razor cut devices as directed for proper operation.
-Monitor continuing operations for proper flow of raw and scrap material.
-Move completed work as directed and weigh and move to designated storage or other work area. Hook up vacuum pumps to rail cars and monitor operation. Procure materials and resins from receiving areas as required.
-Occasionally perform or assist in minor extruder and/or related recovery equipment, repair, or maintenance duties as instructed.
-Perform QA tasks including gauge thickness, smoothness, visual, opacity, dyne level, and any other required tests.
-Must be able to fill in as an A operator as needed.
