Location: Bridgwater, Somerset

Hours: Monday to Friday 36.25 hours per week / part time considered

Salary : A£26,000 - A£30,000 per annum

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions, operating as an employment agency, are currently recruiting for a Accounts Technician to join our clients team in their Bridgwater office.

Whether you're AAT qualified or have equivalent experience, this role offers a great opportunity to work with a diverse client base and develop your skills in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing financial statements for a variety of clients, including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships, up to the audit threshold

Drafting personal and corporate tax returns along with associated computations

Delivering bookkeeping and management accounting services to support clients' financial needs

Preparing and submitting VAT returns accurately and on time

Maintaining accurate client accounting records and ensuring compliance with regulatory filings

Submitting documents to Companies House and HMRC on behalf of clients

Assisting the team with general administrative duties to keep operations running smoothly

Adhering to firm policies, ethical standards, and compliance protocols

You will be supported by experienced colleagues, managers, and partners dedicated to your ongoing development and success.

What we're looking for:

Proven experience working at an Accounts Technician or Semi-Senior level in an accountancy practice

AAT qualification or equivalent practical experience

Experience preparing accounts for both limited companies and unincorporated businesses

Strong communication skills with a friendly, team-oriented mindset

Excellent organisational abilities with a knack for meeting deadlines

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud accounting software

A keen eye for detail, accuracy, and quality of work

Ability to work independently while adapting to the changing needs of clients
