INVENTORY PLANNING & REPLENISHMENT ANALYST

Report to: Inventory Planning & Replenishment Manager

The Buyer role will assist the Inventory Planning & Replenishment manager in daily tasks and requirements, including but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Assist Inventory Planning & Replenishment Manager and branch managers maintain inventory stocking profiles that support customer requirements and ensure world class delivery & service
-Manage optimal inventory levels at branch locations; maximize inventory turns, while maintaining stock levels required to service customer demand
-Analyze market trends and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and schedule replenishment orders accordingly
-Receive and validate incoming requisitions
-Prepare & place purchase orders
-Manage cost and address AP to PO issues
-Prevent & reduce excess & obsolete inventory
-Answer supplier and customer inquiries
-Process data entry requests and conduct system inquiries
-Follow up with suppliers on open order & delivery status
-Adhere to company’s procurement policies and procedures
-Manage activities to meet or exceed Inventory Report metrics
-Respond promptly to internal inquiries
-Assist in other tasks or projects under the supply chain group including but not limited to inventory control functions
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

-Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma, 3-5 years’ experience in distribution business with 2+ years purchasing experience.
 OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

-Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs is required, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
-Strong Customer Service skills and problem resolution
-Demonstrated ability to perform and adapt in a changing environment
-Must be able to work independently and be a self-starter
-Ability to be effective without immediate supervision
-Available to travel as necessary for occasional meetings, audits, cycle counts
-Work remotely and may be required in office  – must reside in the Pacific region (specifically Santa Ana CA or in Southern CA)
