How you'll help us connect the world: 

Provide supervision and support to areas assigned with the goal of coordinating the work force so that the result is the best combination of safety, quality, production, and timely delivery.
Support and develop 5S initiatives, use production efficiency reports to monitor and drive effective organization. You will be responsible to ensure safety by making sure that employees’ actions are consistent with the our safety mission and vision statement. Supervise and implement the CommScope safety program among hourly employees by assuring PPE is available and used, carrying out good housekeeping practices, communicating the HAZCOM system, prompt investigation and resolution of accident and incident reports. Motivate employees to align with the policies and procedures of the site Safety manual that include Local and Federal regulations (OSHA and EPA). Build an environment where safety is an “all hands effort". Create and review the daily production reports for accuracy, completeness, and appropriate quantity. Make the best use of materials, equipment, and people. Planning and cross training are required to meet scheduling needs. Embrace the lean mentality by adopting methods such as Lean & Six Sigma. Eliminate waste though process improvement. Elevate team expertise to empower greater efficiency. Implement Profit Improvement Plans. Perform continuous improvement projects that result in the decrease of scrap and variances and increase efficiency, productivity, safety, and throughput. Promote an environment that adopts change. This role will be encouraged to consistently carry out company policies detailed in the Employee Handbook. This includes attendance and performance standards, accurate break schedules, and the progressive discipline system. Recruit, interview, select, train, appraise and counsel employees. Create an environment of accountability. Responsible for assuring that product produced meets or exceeds CommScope specifications and will be fit for use by our customers, both internal and external. Attention to work methods and documentation is required to maintain ISO 9001 certification. Collaborate with other supervisors, planners, engineers, team members to achieve the best overall result. Plan and work with scheduling to optimize production performance. Provide management with vital input on critical functions to ensure accurate attention and prioritization of opportunities. Motivate change throughout the value stream.

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

-High School Diploma or equivalent
-5 years of manufacturing or production experience and/or
3 years in leading production teams of about 25 people or more
-Excellent digital literacy / Microsoft Suite / Microsoft OfficeAbility to inspire change, adaptability, accountability and manage multiple projects and priorities by maintaining the right balance between meeting business requirements and handling available resources

You will excite us if:

-Have an associates' degree. 
-Have experience with SAP, Kronos and Business Objects.
-Possess working knowledge of the basic and sophisticated Continuous Improvement tools such as; Lean Manufacturing, 5S, TQM, Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis, Poka Yoke, etc. and are green belt certified. You are able to communicate in an assertive and thoughtful manner.
